Dawn Woodcock, Jerome Leopold and Chris Barber have joined the team at The Castle.
Dawn manages front of house, aided by our now almost local Polish friend, Tom. Dawn adds an efficient, professional touch to our friendly, welcoming team. Call her at The Castle for dining reservations - and don't forget our private rooms for your party or business meeting – Dawn will show you round if you are yet to visit
Chef Jerome Leopold has been in Britain for eight years and combines an understanding of local and seasonal ingredients with a heap of Gallic charm.
Jerome's menu is all about simplicity and value, and will regularly change to reflect what's in season – daily specials will always be a feature.
Do you grow anything at home or know a great local farm or small producer? If so, give Jerome a call – he is constantly seeking the best local ingredients
Chris Barber has owned and run country pubs since leaving an 11 year stint as personal chef to HRH The Prince of Wales. Chris is also a freelance food writer specialising in rural food issues, and is a co-founder of The Henley Food Festival.
Chris will be helping out with the direction and future of The Castle.
Don't be afraid of the quality and reputation of the new team. Our aim is to bring back your local – you don't need to come in for a three course meal – just drop in for a pint and one of our exquisite homemade ploughman's, everyone is welcome.
The Castle is open 7 days per week – read on for our current menu, which is supplemented by daily specials.
